01:27.54Bjornnhaha
01:28.09cush?
01:28.38BjornnI meant to say good idea but a cascade of nonsense emerged
01:29.05cushi only saw  < Bjornn> I good idea, thanks cush ❚ oh* ❚ haha
01:32.21BjornnIt shows me eth0 and wlan0
01:33.52cushdo you want to use both simultaneously?
01:38.15BjornnI handn't given it much thought much of it. is it typical?
01:38.22Bjornnwell, is anything typical. lol
01:40.50cushi haven't done that
01:41.11cushyour ISP is likely slower than the ethernet connection anyway
01:41.54Bjornnethernet is 83mb and wifi seems to be around 12mb
01:42.23BjornnI'm not sure what the max is, it's cable so I expect that's probably close to the best they offer for a residential

01:43.58cushsometimes i wonder if i should package this for devuan http://ziz.gp2x.de/hase/
01:44.45Bjornnit looks like an intersting game

01:47.14Bjornndoes it just need to be compiled for devuan? or would there be some signigicant rewrites for it
01:47.28cushit compiles fine
01:48.46cushit'd need debianization - making debian/rules etc
01:48.52cushnot too hard really
01:50.50BjornnI'm lost on the technical stuff
01:52.10cushif you want to try it i can help you compile it
01:52.50cushthere's also binaries http://ziz.gp2x.de/hase/hase-amd64-1.6.7.tar.gz
01:56.19Bjornnok, I'll grab it and take a quick look

01:57.56Bjornnnice. My wife bought a big batch of brussel sprouts this afternoon
01:58.22Bjornnwhat would be the compile commands on this?
01:59.43cushgot to build sparrow3d first, then hase
02:02.40cushso in sparrow3d you'd do make TARGET=amd64 if you have regular 64bit pc
02:11.21BjornnI'm not sure I have sparrow3d
02:12.27BjornnI'll have to touch base again in a bit, I have a crying dog here.

15:12.48openbsdtai123having "su -" is not necessary. this will not increased security of debian. I have impression that devuan should go its own way and completely stay Unix like system, without going into direction of Ubuntu and Debian.
15:13.48openbsdtai123Since Ubuntu took over Debian, Devuan should emerge as an Unix-like system, as it was aimed to be at Potatoe time. I remember Potatoe, this was golden time of Debian.
15:14.30MinceRyou would remove the ability to change directory and environment (as a login shell would) from su?

15:26.30openbsdtai123I am mentioning more generally, more Linux rather than going to go Unix-like. vi is abandoned, so far,. "less" either, the kernel goes to desktop direction, implements new Desktop interests. ... Linux moves to desktop.

16:17.50phillipsjkI beleive Ubuntu had a wealthy backer who hired staff, mailed out free LiveCDs and the like.
16:18.52sixwheeledbeastThe ideal situation would have been to make sure all the debian packages didn't have this dependency on systemd in the first place.
16:19.55phillipsjksystemd is a redhat takeover, not Ubuntu takeover.

Same config on raspi4 with an ascii image i built a couple of months ago using same workflow works flawlessly. any idea?
19:01.30topro_on boot or when manually trying to start interface with "ifup ovsvlan120" it will block forever with "ifup: waiting for lock on /run/network/ifstate.ovsbr1" where ovsbr1 is the bridge and ovsvlan120 ist the internal vswitch port with vlan tag 120
