00:00.24Copexterm, ratpoison, firefox
00:00.32Copeerm, that's it.
00:00.41z00daxthere were also a lot of HP's and Ferrari's around - i guess OpenSource guys do like their x86_64 laptops after all
00:00.50mozratCope, some sort of IRC client :P
00:01.00Copemozrat: yep, running in an xterm
00:01.04mozrat:)
00:01.05z00daxratpoison = screen for X
00:01.08Copewell, running in screen, in an xterm
00:01.13desmodueI like OSX, simply I like better Linux.
00:01.29angelchildbut why is it called ratpoison... it's not exactly a friendly "come and use me" type name...
00:01.36Copeangelchild: kill the rodent
00:02.00Copeangelchild: why use/need a mouse? its slow and inefficient, and not needed 90% of the time
00:02.19Blaptoexcept on the internet now
00:02.20Copehackers like their fingers on the home keys
00:02.46BlaptoOr WAD ;)
00:02.59CopeBlapto: most websites are perfectly navigable without a) graphics and b) a mouse
00:03.08Copegraphics is for porn or diagrams
00:03.35Copeso use an appropriate tool for viewing such things, when needed
00:03.44Copemost of the time we want text from websites
00:04.03BlaptoPorn, yay
00:04.13Copei'm unconvinced
00:04.20BlaptoOn porn or the mouse?
00:04.32Copei think if I added up all the time i've wasted on porn, I could have learned a hell of a lot!
00:04.51BlaptoOnly if you count it as wasted time.

01:16.16z00daxOther .NET assemblies can now be accessed directly from within PHP scripts. Like that you can i.e. build GUIs with PHP using the Gnome libraries. I've already created two interesting examples including events and Drag&Drop features. You can import namespaces and types from other .NET assemblies with a spcial "using" syntax similar to the one known from C#. After doing so the imported types are avialable in the same way as classes implemented in PHP.

21:26.16BlaptoThe piezo electric lighter is so that I don't have to be right next to it when it goes off
21:26.17BobtheAvengeryou could use another fuel, but decompose H2O2 for the oxidiser
21:26.27BlaptoHairspray is violent enough, hydrogen will only be worse
21:26.52BlaptoI either need the initial burst of the hydrogen
21:26.59Blaptoor to find a fuel that burns for about 2 seconds
21:26.59stephanb2Blapto: how do u control combustion. I mean so that the whole bottle doesn't just go "bang" ?
21:27.06BlaptoExhaust.
21:27.34BlaptoMake the exhaust free flowing enough that the bang goes out of it
21:28.22BobtheAvengeri'd experiment with a balloon, see if i can use that to force the H2 out in a controlled manner
21:29.57BlaptoI don't want this to be too complex though
21:30.12BobtheAvengertrue
21:30.31BobtheAvengera balloon, a straw and some tape could work
21:30.52Blaptomain aim is walk up, flush out condensation, syringe in xxml of hydrogen, retire, bang, whoosh
21:31.30BobtheAvengerok
21:32.11BlaptoI'd be happy with an initial bang
21:32.30Blaptobut I would like to find a fuel mixture (I suspect butane will feature) that will give some sort of sustained ignition
21:32.32stephanb2how does a rocket go "up" without some form of inertial navigation?
21:32.50stephanb2actually they do go up because AFAIK there is no nav in fireworks
21:33.31BobtheAvengerthe centre of gravity is further forward than the centre of pressure
21:33.57BlaptoAnd fins to smooth airflow
