00:01.07herlogoozbach: looks like I'm making good progress on koji. I should have a buildroot tomorrow it looks like
00:01.15herloso many rpms!
00:11.42herlotime to install RHEL6 in a vm
02:59.48goozbachnice
04:49.15*** join/#gooseproject makfinsky (~imak@c-76-104-102-89.hsd1.va.comcast.net)
14:33.18herlowhat a buttload of downloads!
14:37.18*** join/#gooseproject makfinsky (~imak@c-76-104-102-89.hsd1.va.comcast.net)
14:39.54goozbachyeah
14:44.11herlogoozbach: oh, I'm just talking about getting a buildroot
14:44.18herloyou have to have the rpms and srpms for it to work
14:44.25herloso I am downloading from rhn atm
14:48.18goozbachI was agreeing
14:48.25goozbachmy ftp mirror takes a long time
14:48.58goozbachare you storing your configs, documenting the commands etc in the bootstrapping repo?
14:49.53herlonot yet
14:49.58herlomostly, this is all documented
14:50.28herloand there are scripts that are used to do all of this work. I will be documenting the stuff that we need to bootstrap for sure
14:51.06goozbachjust want to make sure we don't end up in a "How did we get into this state?" state
14:51.10herloIt's a buttload of rpms, but I see no need to write up how to configure koji again, when it's already documented
14:51.13goozbachI want this to be 100% forkable
14:51.21herloindeed
14:51.28goozbacha link to "this is the document I followed"
14:51.32herloI'm planning to script / puppet the next one...
14:51.34goozbachsuffices
14:51.50goozbachI'm thinking a kickstart file for the host you're building on would be nice
14:51.57goozbach(that's what I've been working on)
14:52.31herlohmm
14:52.47goozbachshalkie: where is the site you've been working on?
14:52.50herlowell, I can do a ks for upland, but most of these rpms are not part of the kickstart
14:52.55goozbachis it in a state we can release
14:53.24herlogoozbach: I think it is, shalkie put it under sites. Named it something like project.gp.o, it just needs to be moved to www
14:54.01goozbachhere's a good idea for an ethos statement "Can someone come out of the blue and re-create *EXACTLY* where I am now if I were to be hitbyabus"
14:55.35herloeaten by a velociraptor :)
14:55.51goozbachI was gonna say "raptured today"
14:55.58goozbachbut that may be a bit non-cool
14:56.07shalkiegoozbach: Probably not. It is under sites though.
14:56.42shalkieYesterday was Towel Day so perhaps picked up by intergalactic hitchhikers?
14:56.52shalkieor something.
15:00.53goozbachyeah
17:14.24herloalmost there!
17:14.31herloonly like 5 more packages to import!
17:25.05*** join/#gooseproject goozbach (~goozbach@fedora/goozbach)
17:45.45goozbachanyone done anything with opensuse build service?
18:43.10fozzmooI hear OpenSUSE is. ;-)
18:43.13fozzmooAnd VLC.
18:43.34fozzmooducks
18:47.06goozbachbh dum crash!
19:14.18shalkiegoozbach: SuSE Studio?
19:21.32goozbachguess so
19:21.44goozbachI'm wondering how it compares to koji et all
19:26.00*** join/#gooseproject makfinsky (~imak@c-76-104-102-89.hsd1.va.comcast.net)
20:17.47shalkieI have not used Koji. SuSE Studio gives you a web front end and automates the process and is based on kiwi.
20:18.29shalkieI don't think it actually builds most of the RPMS but pulls from a repo of some sort for the distro assembly.
