10:57.46tirthis there any possible extension for submitting the Proof Of Enrollment as the university has been suspended for more than over a month due to COVID-19?
10:59.41aroratirth: Do you have an ID card or something?
11:00.26tirthYes. I have a ID card and fee reciept but none of them have a April 27, 2020 date in them :(

11:02.16aroratirth: On the website it's mentioned that Forms will be reviewed in the weeks after the Student Application deadline has closed. If it is not acceptable, we will ask you to upload a different document within a specified time frame. You will receive an email when your form has been approved (or rejected and needs to be fixed).
11:05.29tirthSounds good. Just to make things clear: it is possible to re-submit a proof in a specific timw window if the previous one failed.

11:17.30tirtharora: nope! not aware of it. Are there any going around recently?
11:20.52aroratirth: Oh ok, because college scholarships generally require some proof of enrolment, and the format is pretty same.
11:23.27tirthThe only thing is the constraint of date is a little too much! The fee reciept states the a student has been enrolled for this semester and the semester dates can be found at the university website. This should be accepted but it says that the date has to be mentioned in the document of proof which is just a little too much!
11:43.09MrSquancheetirth: I am worrying about the same thing and wrote an email regarding that to gsoc-support
11:47.31[itchyjunk]A registrar should generally be able to produce a proof of enrollment document for you.
11:48.21MrSquanchee[itchyjunk]: I am contacting my admission officer this evening ...

13:53.33Guest77670can an organization select 2 developers for the same project if required ? if yes,thn in that case will the stipend get divided among them ?

13:58.27gevaertsAn organisation can select two students with two very similar projects if they want to (although not everyone agrees that that's a good idea), but they can *not* select two projects that depend on each other.
13:58.51gevaertsAnd every project is single-person
14:00.19*** join/#gsoc cfoch (uid153227@gateway/web/irccloud.com/x-feoaotyfsprhagay)
14:03.54Guest77670what im basically saying is,if two students submit proposal for the same project, after evaluating the proposals the org. finds that the 2 proposals are unique and both are required for overall development..in that case can the organization select both as GSOCer for that project??
14:04.30Mcdoes one depend on the other, or can one failure fail the other ?
14:05.21*** join/#gsoc Andre_H (~german_wi@dslb-088-064-214-090.088.064.pools.vodafone-ip.de)
14:05.28Mcif one answer is yes, then the dependable project is not suitable for GSoC, and you should not select that project
14:05.50Guest77670no it's not dependent
14:05.53*** part/#gsoc tirth (2bf1c11f@43.241.193.31)
14:06.29Mcif the two are two independent, one-person project, that just happen to work on related stuff but cannot really interfere with one another, then you just have two projects
14:06.48*** join/#gsoc feborges (~feborges@ip-86-49-61-45.net.upcbroadband.cz)
14:10.26Guest77670but that project happens to be on the same software? so basically you're saying.. even if the work has to be done on the development of the same software,if two different proposals are received thn the work can be split into 2 projects
14:13.55gevaertsWhat exactly do you mean by "development of the same software"?

14:45.22aroraI guess what Guest77670 means is: can there be projects which would require multiple people to collaborate due to it's big scope, in that case, does the stipend get divided or does everyone recieve the amount?
14:46.05Guest77670arora yeah
14:46.36gevaerts14:58:51 <gevaerts> And every project is single-person
