09:50.11bluesleethedead1440: can you point me to the solution of the gallery bug? the thread http://forums.internettablettalk.com/showthread.php?t=85863 seems
09:50.36thedead1440goodness me that thread is troubling AMD who refers to it :p
09:51.11thedead1440check your /home/user/.config/user-dirs.dirs file for corruption; if corrupted change it to the correct directories and remove and add back your media after a reboot and done
09:51.11bluesleethedead1440: hehe, teh script removed my data in MyDocs, so ...
09:51.46thedead1440is it that script that removed data or the firefox os script?
09:51.53bluesleeyepp
09:52.15thedead1440the only .deb on the thread helps to change back the user-dirs.dirs file; it has no parameters for deleting data iirc
09:52.31thedead1440anyway check your user-dirs.dirs file first that's most probably the cause of things
09:52.46bluesleethanks, will do that first
09:59.12thedead1440blueslee: the user-dirs.dirs file should look like this: http://talk.maemo.org/showpost.php?p=1271509&postcount=28 (the videos path should be "$HOME/MyDocs/Videos"

10:23.37thedead1440i still don't understand how the gallerybugx.deb removed your media :s
10:24.35bluesleethedead1440: no, the Firefox OS script removed my data
10:25.10thedead1440ah that script; I had luckily tried it on my newly formatted spare desktop and noticed nonsense

10:28.03thedead1440rsync when on home WiFi?
10:28.11bluesleethedead1440: i make a daily backup on my n9 using cron to MyDocs but that backup has also been removed
10:28.36thedead1440yikes that hurts
10:28.56bluesleethedead1440: i will scp the backup.tar to my raspberry pi using scp, that should do it
10:29.55thedead1440yup that should do it; my only media on my phone that's not on my laptop is photos which fotoshare backs up to dropbox every 30mins so other than that i usually have nothing to lose
10:30.27bluesleethedead1440: there are better backup solutions using hashsums for the data so that only one backup is made for data which you have twice on your pc, tablet, smartphone etc
10:31.50thedead1440are you using any such solution?

10:35.39bluesleethedead1440: a friend uses such a solution, i have to interview him again
10:36.14thedead1440oh; i think it would simply be a rsync script but not too sure
10:38.46bluesleethedead1440: i dont think so that rsync handles that, i.e. you have a file called file here /a/file and here /b/file. does rsync do one or two backup copies of that file?
10:39.34thedead1440hmm; a sh script that detects the hashsums first before doing the rsync?
10:39.54thedead1440sh script run by a cronjob maybe; not very sure
10:40.25bluesleethedead1440: writes down those lists and symlinks and does only one copy, yes
10:41.19bluesleethedead1440: you need a database for all the file lists and hashsums

22:25.28sqrt7744is anyone here familiar here with Qml ListView? I have run into an unusual problem and can't come up with an easy solution. Basically, the ListView uses a QML delegate to display some information from an abstractListModel defined in C++. The delegate uses roleNames to get the data. Works fine. But now I'd like to change what roles I retrieve for the ListView during runtime.
22:28.19nanderI get permission denied

22:48.24sqrt7744bef0rd, I figured it out, I just wanted to be able to change the contents of the listview, i.e. what roles are being called from the model, based on program input
22:49.28sqrt7744i just included a couple Text elements in the delegate, and only set visible the one that matches the criteria. Not sure if its the most efficient way, but it works  :-)
