01:15.05NalfHello, I've just installed kde and I'm running fine and dandy at a resolution of 1920x1080, but for some reason all of my fonts are super small.

01:20.59Nalfkde__pepo, and how do I fix that? I didn't configure it.
01:21.07NalfSeems to work fine with gnome.
01:21.33kde__pepognome replaces the dpi setting, because it does not trust what the monitor reports :)
01:21.46NalfAhh, well, fair enough.
01:22.00NalfApparently my graphics card is getting a bad dpi setting from my monitor, then?
01:22.31kde__pepoyes, you can either change /etc/xorg.conf, or do the "workaround" that gnome does and force a different font dpi via KDE's systemsettings
01:23.08kde__peposystemsettings > appearance > fonts > force font dpi
01:25.15NalfTHank you very much for your help. :)
01:26.13NalfCurious, why would my monitor send a bad dpi setting? D:
01:26.48kde__pepobecause they are made for Windows, which does not care about that ... Manufacturers just ship driver disks :)
01:27.15NalfGotcha.

23:25.23slothearnhey all, Gentoo 10.1 with KDE 4.3.5 but my issue is actually with Kopete 0.80.2
23:25.40slothearnit was working pretty well after compilation, but now every IM window is fullscreen
23:25.43slothearnno window decorations
23:25.54slothearnI'm also using Compiz and Emerald, if that's relevant
23:26.05slothearnand the fullscreen IM dialogues seem to flicker for some reason
23:26.44slothearnanyone have a clue as to what might be wrong?

23:29.41CalimeroTeknikhello !
23:30.05CalimeroTeknikI have an insignificant question : why is polyester the default kde theme ?
23:30.27CalimeroTeknikhonestly, who thinks polyester is cute ?
23:30.54CalimeroTeknikthere are so much better themes, why is the default one the ugliest one ?
23:31.39CalimeroTeknik(perhaps there's worse, but the desktop is so cute and when you open a window it's "bleaaarg")

23:57.22slothearnso I fixed my Kopete issue
23:57.35slothearnapparently Kopete with Compiz's legacy fullscreen workaround enabled behaves improperly
