03:29.55yatesi should ask, is that appropriate for openSUSE 12.1?
03:30.02Sho_yates: Fairly. The current version is KDE 4.8.4. We make major releases (4.7, 4.8) every six month and then monthly bugfix releases, i.e. 4.7.2 is about 7-8 months old now.
03:30.53Sho_yates: openSUSE 12.1 came out in November 2011 apparently and 4.7.2 came out in October, so that matches up yeah
03:31.20yatesthere was going to be some major upgrades to the mail, calendar, etc. things - were they before or after 4.7.2?
03:31.54yatesSho_: thanks for the info
03:32.06Sho_You're probably thinking of KMail switching to Akonadi for its backend, that happened in ... 4.6, I think?
03:32.30yatesi know my old 4.6.5 didn't have them...

03:33.32yatescan i upgrade to 4.8.4? is there a "latest kde repository" somewhere? (rpm-based)?
