05:18.20Jucatomva: anyway, I'm not one to argue over that. in this case, KDE uses a different system for determining file types called "shared-mime-info" that's also used by other projects like GNOME or other parts of Linux (and I think even BSD). It's part of the freedesktop project. you can see the different by running "file <filename>" and "xdg-mime query filetype <filename>" (or "kmimetypefinder fiilename")

05:19.25Jucatoso, if it is really a bug (I'm not sure, because I don't know what rules/algorithms they use), unfortunately it's a bug with shared-mime-info, not KDE
05:21.40mvahuh
05:22.21mvait is, xdg-mime differentiates it and says text/plain on spaced shebang
05:22.28mvawhile "file" guesses fine

05:23.21Jucatoxdg-mime/kmimetypefinder uses the freedesktop shared-mime-info system

08:56.32mgraesslinoh, what do you mean with "change layout indicator"?
08:57.00zoraelI'm not sure I understand why the arrow isn't placed on the desktop you switch to, on the layout indicator thing that pops up on virtual desktop change
08:57.11mgraesslinthat's kwin

08:58.16mgraesslinso from desktop pointing to the one you switch to
08:58.27mgraesslinthe desktop one switches to is animated
08:58.35mgraesslinso there should not be an arrow
08:59.05zoraelif the arrow were gone and I would only see the desktop-being-switched-to animated (with the highlight pulse), I would probably not be as confused
08:59.51zoraelas it is, my subjective intuition keeps telling me I'm switching to the desktop I was switching from
09:00.42zoraelfor the sake of the argument, if the arrow were placed on the desktop switched to, its orientation would still infer which desktop you switched from
