00:00.27szelWait, I think I got it working, is there such a way that I can decrease the volume of PA without sacrificing the OSD?
00:01.28shumski?
00:02.10szelCurrently, KMix decreases the volume for individual playback devices, like my laptop's soundcard or my headset, I would like to decrease pulseaudio as a whole.
00:02.48shumskiah. you could with e.g. pavucontrol
00:02.56szelIs there an OSD on that?

00:03.28szelOtherwise, I could manage with amixer shortcuts, but an OSD makes life easier.
00:03.29shumskinope
00:05.02shumskiwait, now i understood
00:05.50shumskiyou wont be able to do that with pavucontrol also. unless there is some PA config, each output has it's own volume iirc
00:06.29*** join/#kde advaitazen (~frank@unaffiliated/advaitazen)
00:06.32szelYep.
00:07.07szelSame with Kmix right now, firefox, mpv, and mpd has their own audiostream, so I can only decrease pulseaudio as whole with amixer right now.
00:07.24szelI'd like a fancy OSD though, I love me a complete desktop experience.
00:07.46shumskithere's kosd, no idea is it functional

07:18.07jeddiSo .. window edges now aren't draggable .. or more annoyingly, you can't middle-click them to lower that window.   Bit of a retrograde step - anyone discovered a way to configure this back to pre 4.11 behaviour?
07:18.38jeddi(Yes, I've found a few threads on mailing lists about the annoyance factor - but nothing useful about changing it - I suspect it's non-configurable.)
07:18.47muephuh? how not draggable?
07:19.05jeddiyou can alt-right-mouse them .. but you can't pick them up with the left-mouse-button

07:20.13jeddimuep: yeah.  maximise a window, and .. well, if you have middle-button-to-lower configured, it works on the title bar, but not the side edges.

07:20.57jeddiand, of course, selecting edges (left-mouse) drags the window rather than resizes.   there used to be a config item for being able to select edges on maximised windows.

07:32.33jeddiSho_: the edges - sides - of windows on maximised windows aren't draggable (to resize) or middle-clickable to lower.
07:33.18muepI'd think that I actually much prefer the current behavior

10:04.01JoifHello! I'm on Debian testing/sid, KDE 4.11.3, and I have a problema with Lancelot. It doesn't display correctly the "places" (my user dirs, devices, etc), it shows only the voice for my home dir. Instead, Kickoff and Dolphin do it right. I tried to move ~/.kde/share/config/lancelotrc and purge&reinstall the package but nothing changed. Any suggestion?
