01:00.01voxadamIs there any way to mute the audible notifications when the session is locked? I'm really tired of hearing every the arrival of each and every email message while I'm trying to sleep.
01:00.56voxadamI'd disable the notifications entirely but I find them useful. With out them I tend to forget to check my email for hours at a time.

01:14.47cordellvoxadam: turn off your speakers or mute kmail/sound completely?
01:15.43cordellreally there should be a feature to disable notification sounds between hours of xx:xx and yy:yy, on these days, on these weeks, these months, etc...

10:25.03ntzI have little problem .. someone told me here last week that kstart does what I want but it doesn't seem like ..
10:25.45ntzI need to launch some command spawning window that the spawned window is placed on position which I specify
10:26.16ntzin details: I need to spawn mplayer that it goes on second screen
10:27.21ntzI'm not able yet to use kstart + mplayer, that mplayer window will be placed on some given position (or generally when forced fullscreen in mplayer that it goes to the screen #2 .. it always goes on primary screen #1)
10:28.42leszekntz: whats the exact command you try ?
10:28.52leszekI tried: kstart --desktop 2 mplayer ~/Videos/Zeitgeist.flv which works fine
10:29.15ntzleszek: desktop 2 is not the same what screen 2
10:29.28ntzdesktop X consists of screen1+screen2
10:29.32ntztwo monitors
10:30.24ntzleszek: http://susepaste.org/view/raw/48944998
10:30.52ntz^^ screen #2 is VGA1 display .. I didn;t want to confuse you with the DISPLAY keyword
10:31.52ntzso generally DISPLAY=:0 consists of two screens
10:31.59leszekah ok I missunderstood
10:33.58leszekntz: besides kstart did you try the kwin configuration for windows. So did you try to right click the mplayer window icon in the top right corner and set special options for that program or window ? Basically it should also allow you to set the screen where the app window should appear+#
10:34.52ntzleszek: no prob http://www.starenka.net/ntz/displays.png ...
10:35.26ntzleszek: yeah, I know this, but that will store somewhere a new defaults for everything "mplayer"
