05:22.00hendrixCMEPTb: worked for me.
05:23.04CMEPTbhendrix, i'm actually in xfce4 .. but just want dolphin working. any idea where to modify that env var ? how do i run the kde config to get to that screen?

05:26.11hendrixCMEPTb: yes you're using xfce but that should help. You can first just paste it in terminal and open dolphin from same terminal to see if it works.
05:27.34hendrixCMEPTb: I used that in Enlightenment and it has it's own dialog to set env variables. dunno what's ideal way in xfce.
05:28.34hendrixCMEPTb: you can try 'export QT_QPA_PLATFORMTHEME="kde"' is the syntax to set from terminal
05:28.52CMEPTbtried that set it, still same - no icons of any kind
05:29.17CMEPTbi see inmy settings, the dark plasma icon theme is selected, but it has a little red sign below it and many others do too
05:29.41CMEPTbmaybe something is wrong with icon pkgs. i can't install kdetim-icons, because oxygen-icons is blocking

19:49.55SysGhostHere'sa strange behaviour from the application "Konversation": If it is idling for long enough in a relatively active channel, the CPU load from konversation will jump to 100% on all available CPU cores. Once one switch between channels, the CPU load goes back to normal, but once idling again, it'll soon enough jump back up to 100% CPU load again. Why is that? Has it been reported yet?
