00:16.36olrraihi, how can I root one X app as root?
00:18.12rdieterolrrai: one way:  kdesu <app>
00:18.31rdieteror maybe even: pkexec <app>
00:19.09rdieter(though the latter may not pass DISPLAY environment)
00:19.51olrraiI was a gnome user. Then install kde, but I havent kdesu command

00:20.55olrrairdieter:
00:22.00rdieterolrrai: whatever method you used on gnome should still work elsewhere too (like in kde)
00:23.08rdieterthat said, in general, it's not a good idea (to run X apps as root)
00:23.34olrrairdieter: I have kdesudo command (from kdesudo package)
00:23.42rdieterok, that should work too
00:24.12olrrairdieter: rare :/
00:25.26olrrairdieter: ksu is a shorter command, but I  install kerberous
00:25.34olrrairdieter: thanks!

22:20.40deitario1Hmm. I just noticed that xdg-open lacks the problem when run from a terminal but Tellico still has it. That suggests to me that it may have something to do with the session.py I hacked together because KDE would randomly forget to launch Autostart entries on login and I got tired of manually verifying that everything got launched.
