02:56.53spacecasefound an interesting edge case.  If you're not familiar with MPD, it's a music player that, for me, is running on a headless machine attached to my stereo and I control it through various devices via it's "clients," one of which being cantata on my laptop.  If I have MPRIS D-Bus support enabled in cantata, it integrates with the media player plasmoid, KDE connect, and all that good stuff.  However, what this means is that if my laptop goes to
02:56.53spacecasesleep, cantata gets a "pause" signal, which it passes onto the remote machine and interrupts playback unnecessarily
02:57.21spacecasenot even really a bug, because pausing the media player on suspend is good generally, just wrong in this case
02:57.54JanKusanagiheh
02:59.48JanKusanagisounds like MPD should have a configuration option to ignore certain events (like pause) when it has more than one client connected
03:00.00JanKusanagibut that's really not related to Plasma's media widget :D
03:01.38spacecasethat's about the response I was expecting... it's not an MPD issue, and MPD doesn't need any clients connected to it to function, it can play happily with none connected after playback is started and it's designed to be that way.  It's not a cantata issue either, and its not even a plasmoid bug... just the design not providing the best user experience in the one case
03:02.20spacecaseneeds a "tweaks" file or something
03:02.22JanKusanaginot an MPD issue, but MPD could have a setting to.. well, what I said
03:02.24JanKusanagixd
03:02.43spacecasethe developer will never go for that
03:02.56JanKusanagiI don't see why not, it makes sense
03:03.22JanKusanagiit would also make sense for clients (like Cantata) to also have settings to _not_ send "pause" when going to sleep, etc

03:45.54factorBRB will test it
03:46.11factorWould like to use full GL on VNC
03:46.24factorIf not will down step the GL version on KDE
03:46.46thiagohow to get full GL on VNC is not a KDE question
03:47.02thiagoI don't think that's possible, but again, something for you to look into with your VNC vendor and X driver
03:47.14thiagoyou need the equivalent of OpenGL ES 2
03:47.28thiagoanything less than that and you should just use software rasteriser
