Is anyone else having this problem, and if so, is it fixable?

08:43.38felixphew-Mhi all; I've been helping a friend troubleshoot some weird behaviour on his laptop that occurs in both KDE Neon and Kubuntu (but not Ubuntu), so I'm guessing it's in some way KDE related
08:44.17felixphew-Messentially it freezes periodically (up to several times a day); syslog doesn't show anything other than that the machine is, by the looks of things, randomly rebooting
08:44.54felixphew-Mthe time the new (normal-looking) boot log starts matches the time of the crash, and I can't see anything that looks like an error message
08:45.17felixphew-Mhas anyone seen anything like this / has any ideas?

19:32.16magic_ninja_workanyway, I'm guessing that I'm missing some package for that functionality ,but I don't know what package.

19:37.58magic_ninja_workI have not really messed with hibernate stuff much, because the only real use for it, in my case, is the new functionality of the machine hibernating after sleeping for a while.

19:46.31magic_ninja_workvalorie, where would I report bugs or strange things I notice while using it? I couldn't find an obvious bug tracker.
19:47.47valoriegood question. It's sometimes difficult to decide on whether it is a packaging bug, in which case > ubuntu-bug powerdevil
19:48.03valorieor a KDE bug, in which case bugs.kde.org

19:50.33magic_ninja_workWell, given that the hibernate options aren't even there, I'm guessing it is because some conditional has failed.
19:50.38ralalaWhen using KDE with multiple screens and setting the taskbar to show only windows of the current screen, it often gets mixed up after reboot and/or screen reconfigurations. (windows appear on a taskbar on a different screen, taskbar stays empty and so on.) . I'm having these problems for years on different computers. Is this a known problem? Does
