15:31.52 | kyentei | Ever since some pipewire upgrades (I don't even actively use pipewire, just pulse) on KDE Neon a few days ago, my USB pre-amp goes into some sort of sleep mode until music starts playing. This however causes my speakers to make a popping sound when it happens, and is super annoying. Is anyone aware of this? I'm not sure if it is pipewire, pulse, or plasma/kde audio applet related. |
15:38.12 | frogenv | i don't know how it is in neon but on arch if you don't have pipeware-pulse installed you'll keep using normal pulseaudio, you should try and find out if you are actually using pulse or pipeware first, if you're using pipeware tthen test with pulse again and see if the problem isn't there and then report and issue |

21:01.00 | Mordoc | Folks, has anyone got KMail or Kontact working with gmail? I would love to enjoy the integrated mail and calendar life without web browser... |
21:01.35 | Mordoc | Sorry, wrong group meant this for fedora-kde group. Apologies all. |
21:01.51 | mefistofeles | Mordoc: I guess it works here as well |
21:03.20 | Mordoc | mefistofeles: True, but I think it is distro specific as Kubuntu and Neon don't appear to have this issue. |
21:03.50 | mefistofeles | Mordoc: oh ok, I wouldn't know, I use thunderbird :) |
