19:03.09eldergunnhi all please could i have any android testing links please!!
19:03.29eldergunnlike http://www.ldsmobiletester.com/android/gl/ci/gl-20120601-1603-2.2.0.14-SNAPSHOT-z.apk
19:04.16eldergunni am making a google doc and will then be updating it when a new link comes out
19:13.19eldergunnis there any android testing links out there like http://www.ldsmobiletester.com/android/gl/ci/gl-20120601-1603-2.2.0.14-SNAPSHOT-z.apk
19:15.42TimRikerhttp://www.ldsmobiletester.com/android/
19:16.53eldergunnwhich link is for testing though so for being a pain
19:17.54TimRikerthe release/ directories have releases in them. etc.
19:20.25TimRikerwhich download do you want? starting from android/ lets you pick a product, and then pick a version. either release or current build. those files are links to the actual build, so you might get a different version next time you download.
19:20.47TimRikerie: http://www.ldsmobiletester.com/android/gl/gl-latest-build.apk  should always get the latest build, no matter the version.
19:21.40TimRikerIs there a reason why you don't want to use the "latest-build" links? that's what testers should normally use.
19:21.52eldergunnok thanks
19:22.09eldergunnnormally i use that
19:22.16TimRikerputting specific versions in a document does not sounds like a Good Idea to me. any doc you create will be out of date tomorrow.
19:22.56eldergunnok i wont do that
19:53.08scgallafenttdeforest, do you remember the name of the web server install that someone introduced to us at the conference?
19:55.03smootarI wasn't there. I'm guessing it was xampp?
19:56.50scgallafentNo. Something other than xampp that was a cleaner install.
19:57.11scgallafentI thought there was a note in the readme.
19:58.18smootarWas it Sami? http://www.softpedia.com/get/Internet/Servers/WEB-Servers/Sami-HTTP-Server.shtml
19:58.29scgallafentNo. Something Server.
19:59.39smootarAny on this list? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_lightweight_web_servers
20:00.01scgallafentFound it. Uniform Server.
20:00.13smootar:)
20:00.18scgallafentThanks.
20:02.45tdeforestscgallafent, that doesn't sound familiar
20:03.25scgallafentOne of the developers that showed up on Friday afternoon was showing it to me. It's a WAMP package that was a little lighter install.
20:45.11tdeforestjohnsonth, did you see this Facebook message from thomas kelly to ldstech?
20:45.19tdeforestit's spam

20:51.30scgallafenttdeforest, what is the URL for the swarm home page on your local machine? I'm trying to set up a local install for someone.
20:51.41scgallafent(Next question will be what's in your .htaccess file)
20:51.50tdeforestlocalhost.lds.org/swarm/web/
20:52.46johnsonthtdeforest, i missed it. where is the spam?

20:53.17tdeforestscgallafent, here is the htaccess content in my web directory : http://d.pr/n/kET
20:53.32scgallafentThanks. Looking now
20:53.39tdeforestjohnsonth, https://www.facebook.com/ldstech?sk=messages_inbox&action=read&tid=id.376405769084956
20:54.04scgallafenttdeforest, that is /swarm/web/.htaccess, correct?
20:54.10tdeforestcorrecty
20:54.12scgallafentChecking file ....
20:54.37scgallafentIs RewriteBase in /swarm/.htaccess set to /swarm/web/ ?
20:55.33johnsonthtdeforest, I wouldn't consider that spam, since it sounds like an entrepreneurial byu student trying to get links to his site. I would just ignore it.
20:55.44scgallafentProbably should have prefixed that with tdeforest to ring your bell.
20:56.22tdeforestscgallafent, rewrite base is not set see http://d.pr/n/kET
20:56.30tdeforestjohnsonth, sounds good
20:56.47scgallafentNot set in /swarm/web, I'm looking at /swarm/.htaccess -- no web.
20:57.03tdeforestjohnsonth, so if it isn't spam and it's asking for links, what is it?
20:57.28tdeforestswarm/.htaccess is not set - there is none
20:57.39johnsonthit may be sleezy, but not spam.
20:57.45scgallafentOK. That answers my question. Thank you, kind sir.
20:58.17tdeforestjohnsonth, :)
20:58.27scgallafentI'm working with garyp, who was in our meeting yesterday. Say hi, garyp.
20:58.37tdeforestscgallafent, i added a ticket to swarm re documentation for setup
20:58.42scgallafentI saw that.
20:58.45tdeforestoh hi garyp
20:59.13johnsonthtdeforest, re documentation for setup, is that help material for QA project managers?
20:59.16garypHello...to you!
20:59.19johnsonthbecause I am working on that.
20:59.52johnsonthswarm is literally the most useful tool I have seen for community crowdsourcing pretty much ever. i am really excited by the results so far.
21:00.48scgallafentsmootar, garyp and I are making progress. I'm about to take the fire hose out of his mouth and let him go to work.
21:01.02scgallafentWe're also learning the ropes of IRC.
21:02.42tdeforestjohnsonth, no this is documentation for devs installing swarm on their local machine
21:03.10johnsonthtdeforest, thanks for clarifying.
21:03.13tdeforestjohnsonth, glad to hear it is working so well for you! be sure to let kfitz know
21:04.28tdeforestscgallafent, it might be advisable to remove the .htaccess-example from the root swarm directory
21:04.37tdeforestto avoid confusion
21:04.51scgallafentOK. I'll add a comment to your JIRA item.
21:08.29johnsonthscgallafent and timriker, I know I was advocating earlier today that the first person to fail an item shouldn't be bombarded with comments for all subsequent failures of that item. There is one upside to this, however. When the item gets fixed, it's rewarding for the volunteer to know that an item he or she flagged as broken was then fixed. That might compensate for the JIRA spam-like messages in their inbox.
