10:08.38jonne_is there a deb floating around somewhere for nokia transport?
10:08.52jonne_apparently you can't get it through beta labs any more
10:11.45jonne_hmm, looks like it wouldn't work even if i found a deb: http://betalabs.nokia.com/trials/nokia-public-transport-for-nokia-n9/Review/Forgotten

10:22.09friesehumm... anyone ever had or heard of mechanical problems on the n9 sim card tray? it just won't fit anymore...
10:22.24friesethe right side seems to be normal, but on the left it bends a little out
10:22.45friesealso the sim card seems to not have reliable contact anymore, sometimes the n9 thinks, there is no sim installed
10:23.13friesehowever, i don't see anything warped or sth. like that, anything known on that matter?
10:31.32*** join/#n9 Morpog_N9_ (~Morpog@tmo-101-68.customers.d1-online.com)
10:33.09psycho_oreosThat almost sounds like to me you probably have some aftermarket case for that n9.
10:35.33frieseehm no i dont... used the
10:35.45friesenokia case, but not that regularly...
10:37.04psycho_oreosNow you're not making much sense.. "nokia case"?
10:37.46friesethe rubber one which was in the box together with the n9
10:39.36psycho_oreos*shrugs* n9 hasn't been abused before? e.g. dropped a few times, etc.
10:40.17friesewell it has, like 2 or 3 times on carpet from about 1 metre, but i can't remember it ever landing on the sim-slot side...
10:42.51psycho_oreosMaybe the SIM card tray was inserted incorrectly before and someone tried to also force the incorrect inserting? Maybe n9 has been sitting outside in the sun? Maybe foreign objects have entered into n9?
10:44.00friesehumm.... maybe that lasth thing could be possible, some dust from my pocket e.g.
10:46.20psycho_oreosIt still doesn't explain as to why you have a bent SIM tray (at least that cover thing that covers the entire SIM bay).
10:47.29psycho_oreosUnless you have left n9 in some dusty area without the SIM tray inserted, and let dust settle in which thereby made it hard to insert the tray. From there maybe one would require to exert some more force to get the SIM tray in which would probably have somewhat bent it).
10:49.02friesehmm no, not really...
10:50.09psycho_oreosMaybe you had a hard time opening the microUSB port in which the SIM tray may have blocked the microUSB port cover from opening. Maybe using some foreign tool you may have damaged the SIM tray.
10:50.39friesecan't remember having such problems
10:51.03friesei basically opened the sim tray once when i got my n9 in 2011...
10:51.46psycho_oreosSomehow it magically got bent for no reason.
10:51.55psycho_oreosIt doesn't add up but I wouldn't know either.
10:52.02friesehmm okay
10:52.30friesejust hoped it was something common and there was a known fix, but whatever... lets just hope the jolla guys hurry up so i can send my n9 to retire ;)
10:52.54psycho_oreosMaybe try getting a replacement SIM tray, see if your n9 can register the SIM then. If not maybe something else inside or the case is messed up somehow.

14:24.10tigerfootand a 3 months ago full backup can still be usefull ( not that much new apps to install )
14:24.46tigerfootjust afraid the nand chips is dead and this will force me to change my favorite phone :-(
14:24.49sledgestigerfoot:
14:24.52sledges/sbin/e2fsck
14:26.10psycho_oreosYou can't export /home directory but you can export /home/user/MyDocs which sits on a completely different chip (iinm). You can't run e2fsck on a mounted partition, even doing so will not fix errors but show them. There is no other sane way apart from somehow bypassing the lame aegisfs mechanism to give yourself proper root credentials and then do umount + e2fsck, etc.
14:26.16tigerfootthey've remove /sbin from root path ?
14:26.44sledgesuploading a ubiboot kernel which will export partitions on boot is a good option
14:26.48sledgestigerfoot: yes
14:27.10tigerfootbut for uploading the ubiboot I need Windows right ?

14:29.28sledges* power off n9
14:29.36sledges* launch the command above on your linux host

14:30.59sledgesbut
14:31.17sledgesi'm not sure how you can run fsck on a via-usb-exported partition ;)
14:31.34tigerfootsledges: I've not that much to loose :-)
14:31.50tigerfootI will extract the deb (I'm under openSUSE)
14:32.05tigerfootanswer the f**sc phone and come back here :-)

14:32.10sledges:)

14:48.39tigerfootwarf look bad after running flasher and connecting the offline phone it fail http://susepaste.org/81584008
14:50.40tigerfootpsycho_oreos or sledges any advise ?
14:52.54sledgestigerfoot: add this before flasher command:

15:39.53sledgestigerfoot: just reboot
15:40.01sledgesit was in ram only ;)
15:40.03sledgesleast intrusive
15:43.31Jonniwell even ram only triggers openmode, so if you want to go back to normal mode, you need complete reflash
15:44.00sledges!? unbelievable
15:44.12tigerfootJonni: ok that's what I've seen
15:44.45Jonnionly pr1.0 allowed to ram load without triggering openmode, since pr1.1 it triggers
15:44.48tigerfootthe phone reboot and at least I've the control bar on top working again, but lots of thing are missing especially the configuration icon
15:45.12Jonnireflash is recomended if you want things to work
15:45.38Jonniramload kernel is only usefull for backupping important data before reflash.
15:45.45tigerfootseems I need to attempt a full flashing and see if it work or if the storage is not borked
15:46.14tigerfootwhat is the simplest way to reflash everything
15:46.25tigerfootI've predownloaded last night the PR1.3 for my swiss black edition image
