01:21.31JustinPdtx: if you're running out of space on boot you need to remove some programs from your image, yes
01:23.53dtxWhat is the difference between .summary.img and .img?
01:24.02JustinPno idea
01:24.10dtxhmmm
01:24.13JustinPnever seen a .summary.img AFAIK
01:24.30dtxI'm building on the .dev branch I don't know how different that is
01:24.57JustinPthat's why you're getting different results
01:25.08JustinPOZ is released from release branches
01:25.11JustinPright now it's .oz354x
01:25.17dtxWhen I build an image it puts three files in the deploy/imaqes folder: the .img, .summary.img (which is about 10MB larger than .img), and the .tar.bz2
01:25.40JustinPyou can always try the tarball and altboot to test
01:25.42JustinPon an SD card or something
01:26.11dtxaltboot?
01:26.51dtxSo what files does it build for yours?
01:26.57dtxwhen you build an image
01:28.37dtxAnd are the .dev and .oz354x branches really that different?
01:34.30Kerwoodmmm hmm...

07:00.09Genesishi
07:00.59myopiateemte, I looked in the run.do_patchcmd.xxxx file generated, no matter what I set the file://patchfile.patch;patch=x argument to in my bb file, the generated code to manipulate quilt, always imports the patch as -p 1.  I did a quick grep on the whole package directory, only linux/linux-jlime-jornada6xx_2.6.17.bb has set the patch level to anything other than 1 and I expect not many people build this.  I haven't got time to learn

17:56.21zeckesirfred: I think doing a poky build will give you a matchbox image containing dates+contact

21:49.08florianJustinP: editing the .mak included by the Makefiles does the trick, just remove all these parameters to strip.
21:49.43JustinPflorian: perhaps a patch should be pushed for qemu

22:02.41cyrilRomainfurlongm: you could use EXTRA_OECONF += " --disable-java " (or something like that) in the .bb file you want to remove java
22:04.07furlongmah ok, so whatever the flag to configure is that i need

22:04.59furlongmand how do you use a higher version of a given package?
22:05.12furlongmie higher than what is currently the stable version
22:06.03cyrilRomaineither the version exist in the tree and in this case, you should set the PREFERRED_VERSION in your distro conf file
22:06.34cyrilRomaineither the version does not exist in the tree and you could create the .bb file and submit it to the OE team to add it in the tree :)
