00:38.43Jay7angstrom/tosa
00:40.50Jay7ah, well.. -j8 break it :)
00:42.21Jay7btw, why do we building full qemu/
00:42.34Jay7we can build only qemu-arm
00:43.17Jay7for arm targets
00:43.53Jay7--target-list=arm can be used
00:51.31grgJay7, wouldn't that be problematic if you built mutliple arches from your tree?
00:51.53grge.g. do a arm build then a x86 build. your native package would work with one, but not the other
00:51.59Jay7well.. have not thought about this :)
00:53.20Jay7--disable-system still can reduce build time :)
00:54.09Jay7ah.. I've understand why libsdl was noted on wiki as required for OE..
00:54.30Jay7to build qemu-native with sdl support

01:05.26Jay7build fine
01:05.52TartarusJay7, we need a good set of systems, yes
01:05.54Jay7Tartarus, grg, khem: please consider adding --disable-system
01:06.01TartarusOr we make it a cross qemu
01:06.08Tartarusotherwise you can't share TMPDIR w/ > 1 arch
01:06.33grgcross qemu is probably good
01:06.34Jay7qemu-<arch> is used only for locale generation afaik
01:06.57Jay7qemu-system-<arch> is not used in building at all (afaik also)
01:07.10Jay7this may be useful to run image in
01:07.30Jay7but we can provide qemu-system recipes for this then.. or qemu-full
01:07.39Jay7or leave it for user's distro
01:07.52Jay7just another set of ideas :)
01:08.03Jay7feel free to use it or drop it :)
01:11.23TartarusSo, ah
01:11.37TartarusWe need a way to have the contrib/qemu stuff be useful
01:11.50Tartarusbut yeah, hm
01:12.21Jay7-j1 + time vs -j X + qemu-system :)
01:13.07Jay7qemu-system-native?
01:13.29Jay7if user will run contrib/qemu stuff it will build it
01:14.27TartarusWe could just fix the races
01:14.32TartarusI'm sure upstream would like it :)
01:14.46Tartarusor D_P = -1 0.13.0
01:15.01Tartaruskhem: Why did we push a new version in right now?
01:15.11TartarusMaybe we should just D_P = -1 0.13.0 for now due to the various issues
01:15.25Jay7+1 from me
01:19.22Jay7time to sleep
01:19.40Jay7I've started testbuilder against master branch for meta-toolchains again
01:22.56TartarusI kicked ours off again too, but before the qemu change

09:43.19dm8tbrmckoan: yes
09:43.45cazzeand i see with ps that tscalibrate is running now, so i think if i could unblank the screen, i should see something :-)
09:44.12Jay7cazze: kill tscalibrate :)
09:44.32cazzeJay7: did it already, but no change :-)
09:44.48ynezzI thought, that tscalibration is issue on newer kernels
09:45.02Jay7try to run xterm on that DISPLAY
09:45.53cazzeif i kill tscalibrate, i get the following in ps : gpe-login .... but i see nothing on the screen :-(
09:46.44Jay7cazze: you can try to use kdrive 1.3.0 instead of xorg
09:46.54Jay7but not sure will it help or not
09:47.29cazzewhat image can i use to test it? or do i have to bake one myself? :-)
09:47.58Jay7some old angstrom-2007.1 should have kdrive imho
09:48.30cazzethose from narcissus worked
09:48.31anarsoulcazze: you should set XSERVER var with kdrive somewhere (i.e. in machine conf)
09:49.15anarsoulcazze: look at ben-nanonote.conf
09:49.49cazzei have XSERVER ?= "xserver-kdrive-fbdev" in x11-image
09:49.59cazzeand x11-image gives me the same problem
09:51.33Jay7cazze: which kernel you have?
09:51.54cazzestandard hh kernel 2.6.21-r26
09:52.02Jay7hm.. strange then
09:52.21Jay7btw, XSERVER ?= is weak
09:52.30Jay7may be overriden somewhere
09:52.33Jay7check bitbake -e
09:52.50Jay7or override it in your local.conf
09:52.59Jay7(again) :)
09:54.06cazzeok
09:55.12cazzei see in my h2200.conf PREFERRED_PROVIDER_xserver = "xserver-kdrive"
09:55.18cazzeshould that be changed?
09:59.04cazzeif i put XSERVER = "xserver-kdrive-fbdev" under it, should it be enough?
09:59.23cazzeor do i have to remove the preferred server stuff also?
09:59.25mckoandm8tbr: how it works? is a good product?
10:00.08dm8tbrmckoan: depends what your intentions are and which generation device you actually mean.
10:02.21mckoandm8tbr: I need a MP3 player and a test platform for Android
10:02.37mckoandm8tbr: but I'd like some OE hacking too ;-)
10:02.52mckoandm8tbr: Nokia N900 is too expensive to me
10:07.35Jay7cazze: hm.. it should be ok then with PREFFERED_PROVIDER
10:07.43Jay7cazze: compare with akita
10:07.50cazzeok
10:07.54Jay7it was stick to kdrive 1.3.0
10:10.03cazzeha, there is a xserver-kdrive-1300
