17:18.23tlwoernerJin|away: i use meta-browser once in a while, i used it very recently (a week ago?) to build (and run) chromium on the rock-pi-4 (hw accelerated)
17:18.49tlwoernerJin|away: i also built (but haven't run yet) an image with chromium for tinker-board
17:21.27tlwoerner(i wanted to blog about rockchip and panfrost and mpv and chromium accelerated...)
17:22.21JPEWtlwoerner: COol
17:23.03JPEWWe currently use WebKit for all our Web stuff, but I would like to do some performance comparisions with chormium
17:27.43khemif you have memory chromium rocks otherwise stick with wpe
17:30.49tlwoernercool! i wanted to do comparisons too but haven't built wpe in a *long* time
17:31.29tlwoernerkhem: can you put a number to that statement?
17:33.05tlwoernerkhem: by the way, i haven't forgotten about building mpv with musl, i have a couple things on the front-burner but it's the next non-front-burner thing i look at :-)
17:34.52khem1G minimum perhaps 2G for comfortable use
17:35.14khemtlwoerner:I have fixed mpv no worries

17:41.06JPEWtlwoerner: How is the chromium wayland support these days? I think last time we checked it was still pretty much only X
17:46.41khemJPEW: it need ozone for wayland which still is not first class
18:22.23tlwoernerJPEW: it builds and runs, but isn't accelerated
18:22.41smurrayJPEW: AGL had Igalia do some work to help with it (since AGL uses wayland), I was playing with it yesterday.  I'm not sure what all patches they use.  They do seem to have lots of "fun" on new Chromium releases
18:23.35tlwoernersmurray: lol, true

19:04.51khemWPE is best bet if you are using wayland
19:25.52smurraykhem: Chromium + wayland seems reasonably snappy on the H3ULCB, but that's somewhat gung ho hardware
19:29.05smurraykhem: I notice for AGL they use the webose tree of Chromium, I'm not sure what's been done in there
19:33.25khemyeah thats a heavily modified chromium,
19:33.43khemit should not even be called chromium
