03:05.59lhamesHi. I just installed OpenZaurus 3.5.4.1 (Opie) on my SL-C3200. My CF wifi card (an Ambicom WL-1100c) is detecting as eth0 rather than wlan0. I noticed the FAQ on wiki.openzaurus.org regarding this, but I'm unsure as to how to update the mapping so that hostap is used rather than orinoco (assuming that is the solution)?
03:15.53*** join/#openzaurus bronson_ (n=bronson@adsl-69-107-107-207.dsl.pltn13.pacbell.net)
04:07.59Wicked_hey, so a lot of the time, when I try to run a program on zaurus, the program crashes
04:08.13Wicked_I have SL C1000 (akita) on Opie
04:08.27Wicked_any way to fix this, such as just reflashing it?

06:59.18lhamesAlright - I've confirmed that orinoco is being loaded instead of hostap. How do I go about forcing hostap to load instead? Is there a nicer way than just removing orinoco?
07:02.04lhamesUm - is anyone seeing these questions at all? Lack of response is fine, but I want to know it's not my irc client.
07:02.54pgasit's not your client ;)
07:03.18lhameswoohoo.
07:03.30lhamesThanks pgas.
07:03.40pgaspaste the output of cardctl ident here and hrw|gone will most probably answer you when he becomes hrw|work
07:03.54lhamesSure. :)
07:04.16pgasalso check the oesf.org/forums you'll probably find your answer there
07:04.53lhamesI've managed to gather that the card is supported by both hostap and orinoco and that orinoco seems to take precedence (for no good reason as far as I can see - there were lots of complaints about it)
07:05.06lhamesAnyway cardctl ident yields:

07:05.20pgasyou can also search the oe bugtracker and fill a bug if it's not present so that you won't have to do it  in the next release

07:50.40lhamesThanks again.
08:33.19lhamesI've noticed a few suspend issues with my zaurus as well. I'm having trouble reproducing it at the moment. I remember dmesg output indicating it was a failure to suspend a pcmcia card though (I suspect the internal microdrive?). Has anyone else come across this?

13:43.03hrw|workPM him via oesf forum? mail him directly?

13:45.57Kerwoodhrw|work: on August 9 he looked at the 2.6 OZ issues with IRK
13:45.57KerwoodIt looks to me like using the irdadump method of examining packets may be a better way
13:46.56hrw|workKerwood: read his post CAREFULLY and you will know why irdadump has no use for ir keyboards
