22:36.14dcordeswhich module does run the SD cards?
22:39.31CoreDump|homedcordes: ummm
22:39.44CoreDump|homewhich device & kernel version?
22:48.01dcordesCoreDump|home, akita, 2.6.16
22:49.30*** join/#openzaurus summatusmentis (n=summatus@72.168.202.219)
22:49.39CoreDump|homedcordes: that driver should be compiled into the kernel IIRC
22:49.58dcordesCoreDump|home, so I can't seperately reload it?
22:50.56CoreDump|homeCONFIG_MMC_PXA=y
22:50.58CoreDump|homedcordes: nope
22:53.06dcordesCoreDump|home, do you think it would be possible to have a usb webcam working on the akita?
22:54.14CoreDump|homehmmmm
22:54.29CoreDump|homeIt would probably require a powered hub
22:54.38dcordesCoreDump|home, I have one :)
22:55.31CoreDump|homealso you'd need the kernel drivers which do not come w/ a vanilla kernel usually
22:55.50CoreDump|homedcordes: well! Time to see if that'll work =D
22:55.58dcordesI have a Logitech camera which on my debian based system uses the gspca module
22:56.04*** join/#openzaurus bronson (n=bronson@66.237.74.66.ptr.us.xo.net)
22:56.19dcordesCoreDump|home, you also have the aktia, right?
22:57.01CoreDump|homeno, spitz, but from an USB view, that is close enough
22:57.59CoreDump|homenow where did I put my host-cable
22:58.00dcordesthe sl_cx000 are all the same expect of the hdds afaik
22:58.26bronsonI'm seeing a weird problem...   svn ls -r 2579 http://svn/blah/middletier returns a bunch of directories: db/ indexer/ lib/ etc.
22:58.27CoreDump|homenot really =) But very similar
22:58.37dcordes^^ ok
22:58.57bronsonHowever, svn ls http://svn/blah/middletier/db returns: svn: REPORT request failed on '/repos/!svn/bc/2713/src/middletier/db' svn: '/repos/!svn/bc/2713/src/middletier/db' path not found
22:58.59dcordeswhat source are you trying to fetch?
22:59.33bronsonI'm sure that directory DID exist in that revision.
23:00.13bronsonAnd the first svn ls confirms that it exists.  Is my repository toast?
23:01.00dcordeswhat is middletier :) ?
23:01.29dcordesCoreDump|home, what kind of webcam do you have there?
23:02.15CoreDump|homeIts a logitech  using the driver your mentioned IIRC
23:02.21bronsondcordes: just a directory.
23:02.22dcordesnice
23:02.37dcordessounds funny somehoq
23:03.03dcordesCoreDump|home, so you got your host cable?
23:03.24bronsonIt's an awful name (like naming a file stuff.c) but svn shouldn't care.
23:03.24CoreDump|homeyes
23:04.14CoreDump|homeone of my hubs is toast :\
23:04.50dcordesdo you have a non toasted there?
23:05.12CoreDump|homeindeed
23:05.26bronsondcordes: any idea what would cause that 'path not found'?
23:05.59dcordesbronson, sorry I have no idea about svn
23:06.57bronsonHoly cats, I'm in the wrong channel.
23:07.24CoreDump|homebronson: I was about to say =)
23:07.33CoreDump|homenice talking to you anyway hehe
23:07.48bronsonAnd I was thinking "CoreDump, I know he hangs out on another channel I watch...  can't remember which one..."
23:08.05dcordesCoreDump|home, I actually have no hub but a battery soldered to an usb cable. They guy who made the tuto for that called it usb power injector
23:08.21CoreDump|homedcordes: ouch...
23:08.27CoreDump|homecompiling the drivers now
23:08.40dcordesCoreDump|home, ouch?
23:08.44CoreDump|homebronson: I remember your nick as well
23:08.59CoreDump|homedcordes: sounds like a messy h/w hack to me
23:09.16dcordesdon't worry it works
23:09.24dcordesdo you have gspcav1-20070508 there?

23:10.38CoreDump|homebut I have some difficulties compiling it
23:12.09dcordeswhy didn't you take the more recent one? I just tried to compile the v mentioned above but it is asking for the kernel sources
23:12.19dcordesI'm trying to compile on the z.
23:12.20dcordesitself
23:15.00dcordesCoreDump|home, any success yet?
23:15.35CoreDump|homenope
23:15.47CoreDump|homekernel is lacking Video4Linux support
23:18.02dcordesCoreDump|home, would it be possible to enable that?
23:20.03CoreDump|homeof course
23:20.12CoreDump|homejust give me some time
23:20.34dcordesok sorry
23:20.34CoreDump|homedunno about the ancient OZ kernel tho
23:20.42dcordesdo you use angstrom?
23:20.46CoreDump|homeyeah
23:21.16dcordesCoreDump|home, I used it for two weeks but my earphones didn't work :(
23:21.34CoreDump|homeI didn't try those yet =)
23:21.47dcordesonly mono
23:21.51dcordesalso the speaker was messy
23:25.03dcordesI'm looking forward to the next angstrom testing release for akita
23:25.28dcordeshope somebody has read my oe ticket about the sound thing then
23:31.55dcordesCoreDump|home, I made sure to not change anything about the sound settings after flashing angstrom before I created it
23:33.25CoreDump|homeI'm surprised you had sound at all with asound.state being empty =)
23:34.07dcordesthere was sound on the earphone but only very silent and mono
23:34.36dcordesthe buzzer was very very silent
23:35.12CoreDump|homeNOTE: package gspcav1-20070110: completed
23:35.15CoreDump|home;)
23:35.20dcordes:O
23:35.31dcordesdid you test the cam?
23:35.33CoreDump|homenow copy modules, kernel and we'll see
23:35.49dcordesok
23:39.14summatusmentisCoreDump|home: you must either have a pretty powerful build machine, or my machine is way outdated
23:39.39CoreDump|homesummatusmentis: It is rather slow :\
23:39.47CoreDump|homeI only rebuilt the kernel

23:43.58summatusmentisrshakin: I think so, what chipset is it?
23:44.29rshakinhmm, have no clue... havent researched it yet... just got my zaurus like 2 hours ago :)

23:45.08summatusmentisyep, should be fine
23:45.17rshakini did... it detects it... but i cant seem to join my network
23:45.18dcordesI have a prism2.x card which does not work :(

23:45.43dcordessummatusmentis, yep

23:45.49dcordeswant the hardware id?
23:46.27summatusmentisdcordes: doesn't work at all? or is it at least recognized?
23:46.28rshakinthe funny thing is... it's seeing my wireless network and everything... but it just wont connect... was hoping to install some software on it
23:46.43dcordessummatusmentis, it is recognized but unusable

23:47.47dcordes:)
23:48.12rshakinsummatusmentis: mine is recognized and i can see the network... but no go as far as internet
23:49.16dcordesCoreDump|home, do you have an application
23:49.19dcordes^^ to test
23:49.59summatusmentisrshakin: http://www.oesf.org/forums/index.php?showtopic=3367
23:50.06summatusmentisnot OZ, I don't think, but...
23:51.51dcordessummatusmentis, I get a wifi0 and a wlan0 interface, like with my working cf card but iwconfig seams a bit incomplete and the interfaces are created in Master mode. When I set iwconfig wlan0 mode managed I get operation not supported. It is set to managed afterwards but can't scan (Network is down)
23:52.40summatusmentisdcordes: that's odd.... perhaps some driver conflict?
23:53.06dcordessummatusmentis, between wlan-ng and hostap?
23:53.31dcordesbetween: on openzaurus it's the same
23:53.38dcordesah on angstrom I mean
23:53.39summatusmentisI don't know... that's sort of a random guess
23:54.12dcordesonly hostap and hostap_cs are loaded.
23:55.31summatusmentishuh... maybe a faulty card?
23:55.37dcordesAfter Laibsch told me to I already tried to change some hostap config file, including the hardware ID of my card. But later on I discovered that a card with the same id was already included
23:55.59dcordesthat's what I've been thinking
23:56.13summatusmentiswait, what'd you do to the config file?
23:56.22summatusmentisis it possible that hostap is getting confused?
23:56.26dcordessummatusmentis, unfortunately I can't try because I don't have one of those cf 2 pcmcia/pci things
23:56.39summatusmentisyeah
23:56.41dcordessummatusmentis, that was way back on a different flash ^^
23:56.49summatusmentisah
23:57.21summatusmentisdcordes: that's weird, the only thing I can think of is that it'd be a faulty card, hard-ware wise
23:57.23dcordescompletely normal hostap here
23:57.32dcordesdamn ebay :)
23:57.46summatusmentisrshakin: it seems as though a lot of people are having issues, and just as many have it working flawlessly
23:57.56dcordesthere is an led which does not turn on
23:58.23dcordesalso the ebay sent the card before he got his money.. very suspicious, isn't it? ^^
23:58.28summatusmentisdcordes: oh really? again, that leads me to think it'd be faulty hardware
